How CouponMuz Works

From finding an offer to getting the discount applied, in four steps - and what to do when a code is rejected.

There is no account to create and nothing to install. Here is the whole process, including the parts other sites leave out.

Step 1: find an offer

Search by store or keyword, or browse by category or store. Category pages separate coupon codes from automatic sale pricing, because the two behave differently at the checkout: codes need entering and usually exclude sale stock, while sale pricing needs nothing but rarely combines with a code.

Step 2: read the terms before you build a basket

Every offer page lists the discount, the minimum spend, the maximum discount, what the offer applies to, what is excluded, and the date we last re-tested it. Two minutes here saves the twenty minutes you would otherwise spend filling a basket that the code will reject.

Step 3: reveal the code

Press Claim this offer. The coupon code appears on the same page with a copy button - no new tab, no redirect, no pop-up. Where an offer needs no code, the button explains exactly how the retailer applies the discount instead.

Step 4: apply it at the retailer

  1. Sign in at the retailer first. Member pricing and free shipping attach to the account, not the browser session.
  2. Add the qualifying items listed on the offer page.
  3. Paste the code into the promotional or discount field before entering payment details.
  4. Check the order summary shows the reduction, then confirm the final total including shipping and tax.

If the code is rejected

Nine times out of ten it is not expired. Work through this in order:

  1. Remove any sale, clearance or gift-card line from the basket and try again. Excluded items are the most common cause.
  2. Check the minimum spend on the offer page. Thresholds are assessed on the merchandise subtotal, before shipping and tax.
  3. Confirm you are signed in, and that the offer is not restricted to new customers.
  4. Check you are on the right country storefront - codes are frequently region-specific.
  5. If none of that fixes it, tell us. We re-test reported offers within 1 business day and either correct the terms or remove the page.

What we can and cannot do

We publish information. We do not operate the retailer’s checkout, cannot apply a discount on their behalf, cannot reinstate a withdrawn promotion and cannot issue a refund. What we can do is keep the terms accurate, date every listing honestly, and take down offers that stop working. See the Editorial & Verification Policy for the detail.

One email a week. Only offers we have tested.
