Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure

This site is free to use. We are funded by advertising and, where they exist, commission arrangements. Commercial relationships never determine whether an offer is published or how we describe it.

Why this page exists

United States Federal Trade Commission guidance requires clear disclosure of material commercial connections between a publisher and the products it writes about. Similar rules apply in the UK, the EU and many other markets. This page is that disclosure, written plainly rather than buried in the terms.

How we make money

  • Display and search advertising. We buy traffic through Google Ads and may display advertising on the site. Advertising revenue is not tied to which offers we publish.
  • Affiliate commission, where it applies. Some retailers operate affiliate programmes that pay a commission on sales attributed to a publisher. Where we participate in such a programme and a purchase is attributed to us, we may receive a commission.
  • Sponsored placement, clearly labelled. If a retailer ever pays for prominence, that placement carries a visible "Sponsored" label on the page. We do not accept payment to describe an offer as better than it is.

What it costs you

Nothing. The site is free, we never charge to reveal a coupon code, and commission where it arises is paid by the retailer out of its own marketing budget. It does not increase the price you pay and it does not reduce the discount you receive.

How we keep it separate

  • Offers are selected and written by the deals desk on the basis of whether they work and whether they are worth using.
  • Commercial teams do not decide what is published, how offers are ranked, or what the terms summary says.
  • An offer is not removed because a retailer dislikes our description of its exclusions.
  • We publish the offers we can verify, including offers from retailers with whom we have no commercial relationship at all.

Our full process is set out in the Editorial & Verification Policy.

No redirects to reveal a code

Coupon codes on CouponMuz are shown on our own offer pages. You do not have to pass through a tracking redirect, open a pop-up window or install anything to see a code. We think that is the right way to treat readers, and it means the number of pages you have to load to get a discount is one.

Independence of our editorial content

Guides and articles are written independently. Where an article discusses a retailer with whom we have a commercial relationship, that does not change the advice. If we think a promotion is poor value, we say so.

Questions

Email info@couponmuz.com and we will tell you exactly what commercial relationship, if any, exists for a given retailer.
