Our commitment
THE COUPON GUYS, LLC wants everyone to be able to read this site, including people using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification or speech input. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
Measures we have taken
- Semantic HTML structure with one main landmark, labelled navigation and a logical heading order on every page.
- A visible "skip to content" link as the first focusable element.
- Full keyboard operation, including the coupon reveal, filters and the cookie banner. Dialogs trap focus and close on Escape.
- Visible focus indicators that are not removed by our styles.
- Text contrast tested against a 4.5:1 minimum in both light and dark appearance.
- Form fields with persistent visible labels, descriptive error messages and no reliance on placeholder text alone.
- Status messages, including "code copied", announced to assistive technology through a live region.
- Information never conveyed by colour alone; badges carry text as well as colour.
- Layout that reflows to 320px width without horizontal scrolling, and respects a user’s reduced-motion preference.
- No content that flashes, auto-plays audio, or times out without warning.
Known limitations
- Some retailer logos are rendered as styled initials rather than images. These carry text alternatives, but the visual treatment may differ from a retailer’s own branding.
- A small number of long offer tables require horizontal scrolling on very narrow screens. We are working to restructure these.
- Third-party advertising, where displayed, is outside our direct control. We report accessibility problems to the vendor when we find them.
Assistive technology we test with
We test with recent versions of NVDA and JAWS on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, TalkBack on Android, and keyboard-only navigation in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari.
